The luxury fashion brand Burberry is to go 3D with its next fashion show, creating "fashion history" with a three-dimensional screening of its autumn-winter collection later this month.

With the help of Sky, set to become a pioneer for 3D in the UK, Burberry's catwalk show, live from The Chelsea College of Art during London Fashion Week will be streamed to New York, Paris, Dubai, Tokyo and Los Angeles to be shown on 3D screens to invite-only audiences.

As well as the actual catwalk bit, the 3D footage will include pre-show behind the scenes video, backstage footage and red carpet arrivals.

The show will "enable people to experience the energy and atmosphere of this event from around the world", Burberry's chief creative officer, Christopher Bailey told The Telegraph.

"3D technology will bring our global audience into the London show space allowing them to see the colours and fabrics, to hear the music and to be a part of that moment when it all finally comes together".
