New QWERTY messager replaces popular KS360

Social networking LG GT350 slider announced

By all accounts LG's KS360 slider has been a hit with the kids with over 5 million sold since its launch in summer 2008, and the Korean company is hoping to replicate that yoof market success with the new GT350.

A QWERTY messaging phone ("designed specifically for the textually-minded") LG claims the GT350 will let users "social network like a pro". It offers a 3-inch WQVA touchscreen display and built-in applications for major social networks.

With shortcut keys for accessing push e-mail, the web browser and instant messaging, the LG GT350 will be available in Europe from this April and will then launch in other markets around the world.

The phone will come in four colour combinations, says LG - aqua blue, purple, light silver, and black - some of which will be exclusive to mobile phone operators - we'll keep you posted on news of a launch, as well as further spec and pricing info as it's revealed.
