There weren't as many Nooks under Christmas trees as Barnes & Noble may have seen due to strong pre-orders for the device catching the bookseller seriously unprepared, but the company is hoping Valentine's Day will be different.
In a blog post Barnes & Noble has announced that the ebook reader is back in stock online and should be in most shops in time for the shopping fest that we're encouraged to believe Valentine's Day should inspire.
"We're excited to announce that nook is now available online and will be in stock at the majority of our stores by mid-week - just in time for Valentine's Day! Customers can visit the Barnes & Noble nook In-Store Locator at www.bn.com/nook/instore, updated daily beginning February 10, to find local stores with devices in-stock", says Barnes & Noble in the blog post.
While in the run up to Christmas Nooks were selling for as much as $750 on eBay, US consumers can now pick one of the ereaders up for its more modest RRP of $259 with a wealth of accessories also available to tempt shoppers into spending more.
