There's a solution for companies that still rely on printed documentation but want to be green, as the PrePeat printer has been revealed as an eco option.

The special printer system uses a proprietary type of plastic-coated paper that the printer's thermal head prints on that can actually be erased and re-used.

With the claim of no degradation in image quality, the PrePeat could see one sheet of paper printed, erased and re-printed time and time again.

There's no pricing revealed for the system but to see the "magic" in action right now, hit play on the video above.

  • great so now businesses will stop buying renewable resources such as paper that grow from trees that can be re-mulched into more paper.. and now they buying sheets of plastic.

most businesses have to keep paperwork for 5 years.everyone knows heat based printing fades faster then ink. so its not enviromentally friendly or business savvy. oh well good luck with the sells pitch guys. add the word eco to anything and its sold, shame its not eco

  • eco= economical not ecological.
also if you are printing out drafts that wont leave the office then yes you can recycle the sheets and save cash.
BUT if printing flyers to hand out they will never be seen near the printer again so it wont be economical
and lastly thermal printers use more electric then ink based. FACT
