HTC Magic finally gets Sense UI

ROM update brings interface to handset

HTC Magic finally gets Sense UI

We might still be waiting for an updated version of Android on the HTC Hero, but the company has delivered on at least one of its promises - bringing the Sense UI to the HTC Magic, by means of a ROM update.

HTC says: "This ROM upgrade for your HTC Magic will let you experience HTC Sense on your phone. HTC Sense lets you create a phone just right for you. You can customize your experience to be any way you like. Discover intuitive experiences that make everything you do on your phone effortless and delightful".

So if you're not feeling like your phone is effortless and delightful enough, then go install it. A word of caution first, though - be sure that everything from the device is backed up before you start, because the update wipes it clean.

Oh, and it looks like it won't work for phones labelled "with Google", either, thanks to licensing restrictions. That includes the Vodafone edition in the UK. If you wanna test to see whether it'll work or not, just put your serial number into the form on the download page and it'll tell you yes or no.
