T-Mobile go World Cup crazy with branded Samsung E370

Footie fever comes to T-Mobile early

So you think you’re a big enough fan of the World Cup and in particular England? Well T-Mobile is hoping you are, with the launch of the T-Mobile official England team handset.

Keen footie fans will be able to get their hands on a branded Samsung E270 handset preloaded with a video of Geoff Hurst's 1966 winning goal for inspiration, as well as other classic video clips and exclusive content. For a truly English World Cup flourish, the black compact slider is embossed with a "Three Lions" logo.

The Samsung E370 is a tri-band handset which has also been issued to the England Squad comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, video, gaming and MP3 functionality. It will be available next month from T-Mobile on both pre-pay and pay monthly contracts.

The launch of the handset coincides with number of game related services the operator has in store for customers during the World Cup games.

From June, T-Mobile exclusive access to watch World Cup matches via their mobile phone on its unique World Cup TV channel.

Providing highlights of the latest World Cup matches, the T-Mobile channel offers customers a 3-4 minute snapshot of each game within 1 hour after the final whistle.

Mobile TV can be accessed through T-Zones on 3G handsets for a trial price of £1 per day or £5 unlimited access per month.

T-Mobile customers will also be able to take advantage of FIFA World Cup match highlights by video calling the FIFA World Cup shortcode throughout the tournament.

For just 50p per minute, customers can video call the official telephone number, '2006', and have the highlights of the latest match streamed to their mobile phone.

Additionally, T-Mobile will offer fans the chance to get inside the England camp, access to masses of exclusive FIFA World Cup and England downloads, and win unique ingredients for World Cup-themed house and office parties.
