Apple iPad gets a kickstand

Watch movies or turn it into an expensive photo frame

And the award for the first iPad case with a kickstand goes to... Scosche. The company that already makes iPod and iPhone cases is to release an Apple iPad case complete with kick stand so you can watch movies or double it up as a digital photo frame.

Called the kickBACK, what else, the shatterproof polycarbonate and rubber hybrid provides, according to the company, "superior protection for the Apple’s new iPad tablet".

The case’s patent pending locking kickstand enables both vertical and horizontal viewing and has a low angle setting for an optimal typing position. Scosche has also included moulded grips on the back of the kickBACK for more secure handling.

The kickBACK ships with a screen protector and cleaning cloth and will be ready in time for the iPad launch in March says the company. Those giddy with excitement will also be pleased to hear that it is the first of an entire line of accessories Scosche has planned.
