Asus has revealed pictorial proof of its entrance to the ebook reader market via a tweet and images posted to its Flickr account. Asus UK's tweet on the topic reads only: "Shhh...ASUS E-reader breaks cover in our office!"

The Flickr pics are labelled "DR-950?" while the device is pictured next to an iPhone. The DR-950 is reported to offer a 9-inch black and white E-Ink display and just three buttons on the front with a touch interface.

Spec is said to come in with Wi-Fi, HSDPA, USB, RSS, text to speech and it's due to arrive in 2 or 4GB internal memory options as well as include an SD slot.

We've heard no UK launch details as yet, but we'd expect this move to herald official news soon - we will keep you posted as soon as we have more.
