Rockstar Games, the makers of the popular Grand Theft Auto Series has announced that gamers will soon be able to play Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories on PlayStation2.

Currently only available to PSP gamers the company has announced that the game will be available in North American stores on 6 June 2006 and will hit European retail shelves on 9 June 2006 in the UK.

Available on the handheld console since October 2005 the number one selling PSP system game is based in the same realm as the original Grand Theft Auto series.

PlayStation2 owners will get an exact port of the game, but with a big screen experience of the same story line and missions, featuring the interactive open environments, innovative gameplay, superb voice talent and diverse music that are the hallmarks of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

The game will cost £19.99.
