The Publisher of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is to create Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow, a pirate-themed action game for the Sony PlayStation 2 and PC.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow will be available in July 2006 to coincide with the launch of the Hollywood movie staring Johnny Depp.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow brings an exotic blend of action and adventure that captures the colourful characters and spirit of the first movie", said Alain Corre, Executive Director at Ubisoft who will be publishing the game.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow is a fast paced action-adventure game featuring a humorous retelling of events from the first movie told from the perspective of Captain Jack Sparrow himself.

The player will have to progress through the game by using his sword, solving puzzles, and taking advantage of the environment.
