Fans of the new(ish) DJ Hero game will be pleased to hear that a sequel is planned for the franchise, suggesting sales success for the music-based game.

The confirmation comes via the news that DJ Hero is offering budding musicians the chance to have one of their tracks mixed and appear in a future version of the game.

This will be as a result of DJ Hero's involvement with MIDEM 2010, an annual music industry event.

Having supported various elements of the show in previous years through Guitar Hero, in 2010 DJ Hero will be hosting an exclusive "Listening Session", with one winner offered inclusion in the next instalment of the game.

In previous years Welsh band ATTACK! ATTACK! UK and The Answer were discovered at similar "Listening Sessions" for Guitar Hero, with their tracks subsequently appearing in Guitar Hero games.
