Genius launches G-Shot HD550T budget HD camcorder

Genius has launched the G-Shot HD550T high definition camcorder in the UK.

Offering 720p quality (1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second) film footage and 5-megapixel stills, it's a little like a horizontal version of the popular Flip-style PVCs we're seeing of late.

Features include a 3-inch touchscreen display that swivels to enable the user to see themselves recording, so is angled at YouTube ranters, vloggers and the like.

Boasting dual SD slots, each supporting SDHC cards with up to 32GB capacity, there's also an HDMI port for video playback on a big screen TV.

The camcorder uses a Lithium Ion battery, but can also take four AA batteries which is a nice touch.

The G-Shot HD550T will be available from the 18 January for £109.99, and can be gotten directly from www.geniusnet.co.uk.
