CES 2010: Device spotted in Marvell booth

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, a successor to the much-loved Chumby device has been uncovered in a discreet corner of chip-maker Marvell's stand. Guess what - it's a tablet PC.

According to the spec sheet, it has a 7-inch display, 800 x 400 resolution, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi and a 3G option, as well as built-in stereo speakers and the ability to boot to OSes from a microSD card. It has 128MB or 256MB of memory, which can be expanded with that aforementioned microSD slot.

Chumby widget apps can be accessed, and it'll play movies in MOV, H.264, AVI, MJPEG, MPEG-4 and MP4 formats, as well as from YouTube. It can be used as a photo frame, and works with Pandora, Flickr and Facebook.

No release date or price has been put on it yet, but when we hear more about the device, we'll be sure to let you know.
