Virgin Media has announced that it will soon offer the HTC HD2 smartphone, its first HTC offering.

As many of you will know, the Windows Mobile HTC HD2 is powered by the 1GHz Snapdragon processor, boasts a 4.3-inch touchscreen, HTC's Sense UI, and offers a 5-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash.

"The HTC HD2 is a stunning handset and the first-ever HTC-branded phone ranged by Virgin Media", Jonathan Kini, director of mobile at Virgin Media said in a press release announcing the launch.

"Its launch kick starts a new range of high-end handsets coming to Virgin Media, perfect for mobile internet, social networking and entertainment on the go".

The HTC HD2 will be available for free on a £30, 24-month contract with Virgin Media, which the company claims "represents one of the most compelling tariffs currently available".
