Audi has turned to graphics processor maker Nvidia to power its car's dashboards in the future, the car company announced at CES in Las Vegas.
The news means that from 2010, all Audi models will be "equipped with the third-generation multimedia interface system along with technology advances to provide even more sophisticated graphics in the years to come", according to Audi.
The car maker has signed a deal to use the new Tegra 2 processor to make its in-car graphics, for both its GPS offering and basic menu systems look more "tasty".
"This advanced technology allows motorists to get clearer, more specific information faster to help them navigate to destinations and points of interest on their journeys", says Audi in a statement.
The current iteration can be found on the recently announced Microsoft Zune HD.
"The 2011 Audi A8 will have the capability to display Google Earth mapping for navigation and point of interest search - a significant advance above traditional navigation systems," says Nvidia.
