In the States, Elgato has announced the EyeTV One, describing it as an easy-to-use TV tuner for DTV antennas. The EyeTV One delivers digital TV and HDTV channels straight to a Mac or PC, enabling users to watch and record TV shows that are broadcast over-the-air for free.

The EyeTV One comes with a built-in, USB extender cable, so it can be used on a Mac or PC without blocking other ports as well as offering a standard full-size coaxial plug that can be connected to an indoor or outdoor antenna without the need for an additional adapter.

Elgato's EyeTV 3 software for Mac is bundled in and boasts the ability to send recordings to iTunes to sync with an iPhone, iPod, or Apple TV. Alternatively it works with Windows 7 Media Center.

In the US, the EyeTV 3 software includes one year of free TV Guide data, with optional renewal for $19.95 per year. EyeTV One is now available in the US and Canada for around the $120 mark. There's no word on a UK regional variant as yet.
