How thin do TV's really need to go before they become a sheet of paper? That's the question most people will probably be asking after seeing the above picture - one of three LG INFINIA ultra-slim HDTVs announced at this year's CES in Las Vegas.

At 6.9mm thick, it's thinner than a CD case, thinner than most mobile phones kicking around and thinner than the pins on a UK plug.

In fact it's so thin, that as the picture shows, you can still see the LG representative (the lady smiling) clearly. Try doing that with your TV at home.

Still, at 0.9mm fatter than Samsung's efforts at IFA in 2009, LG's offering still needs to lose some weight.
