The laptop world has seen the launch of yet another slim and light option, the LG X300, but this does offer something a little different by boasting a 2.0GHz Intel Menlow chip.

Weighing in at 970g and 17.6mm thick, the X300 gets a bezel-free 11.6-inch display, up to 2GB memory and a solid state drive instead of a hard disk, and claims up to 7 hours operation - with a spare 2-cell battery.

The X300 will begin its global rollout in February 2010, with no pricing yet revealed.
