Windows Mobile 7 to show up at February's MWC event

OS will get Spanish debut

Hardly a big shocker considering it's the mobile world's biggest annual event, but it seems the news is in that Microsoft will show Windows 7 at February Mobile World Congress.

Robbie Bach, Microsoft's president of entertainment and devices division, has been quoted confirming the OS will be on show at the industry event that takes place in Spain from 15 February this year.

Bach said the next-gen version of the mobile operating system will "set the bar forward not in (just) an evolutionary way", and that Microsoft is going to be "more engaged" with OEMs.

Windows Mobile 7 is expected to be available in late 2010. We've already been promised "flexibility on a much easier touch UI".
