It appears that the Nexus One in Europe might be equipped with multi-touch, unlike the US edition of the handset. A German website, Heise Online, is reporting that its sample unit has pinch-to-zoom enabled in the web browser.
The US version has been criticised in early hands-on reports for not offering the functionality - one of the few negative points picked out about the handset by most analysts. However, the same fate befell the Motorola Droid, which lacked multitouch in the States but was present and correct in the European "Milestone" edition.
The Nexus One will be offered by Vodafone in the UK, and pricing will apparently be "similar to those Vodafone offers for its wide range of smartphones", according to the network. We'll bring you more specific details when they're announced.
