Dell has announced a new addition to its Alienware gaming line on Thursday at its press conference at CES in Las Vegas.

The new 11-inch screened model will pack an Nvidia graphics card, Intel Core 2 Duo processor and be able to run Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at 30fps thanks to some heavy optimisation under the bonnet. It will come with HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA connections.

However, rather than charge the for privilege of taking your gaming on the go, the new laptop will cost under $1000.

Other features include the usual Alienware "badass" styling and a backlit keyboard that can be customised to light up in one of 1.6 billion colours to suit your needs.

Luckily when you aren't playing games the graphics card can be turned off at the press of a button without the need to reboot.

Expect to be able to get it globally by the end of the month.

Notebooks.com managed to grab a video of CODMW2 in action on the new gaming rig.
