MSI Wind U160 netbook launched at CES

CES 2010: Next-genner gets N450 processor

MSI has announced the launch of the U160 netbook at CES, one of the next-gen models to get Intel's latest N450 Atom processor.

With a slim 1-inch frame and weighing in at 1kg, MSI claims above 9 hours of extended battery life.

The 10.1-incher gets a gold chassis, chiclet Keyboard, "an artistic and ultra-thin fuselage" whatever that might mean in practice, and comes with Microsoft Windows 7, presumably Starter.

No other specs have been revealed, but judging from similar releases from rivals we'd expect to see 1GB RAM, a 250GB HDD, a webcam'n'speakers'n'mic, Wi-Fi and maybe even Bluetooth.

The U160 will be available in the UK from March 2010 priced at £329.
