Sanyo has never been one to shy away from "world's -est" claims and we're happy to see the release of the new "Full HD Slim Type Dual Camera Xacti VPC-CS1" sees it true to form.

The world's smallest, lightest and thinnest dual camera Xacti for 2010 is the claim and it's backed up by a dimension of just 27mm thick and a weight of 142 grams.

Due to be available in February 2010 for $300, and boasting a 10x zoom with a 38mm wide-angle lens, as the name might suggest the Dual Camera can record video in 1920 x 1080 resolution in H.264 and snap up to 8-megapixel still images.

In addition, Sanyo has also unveiled the VPC-SH1, due to be available in black and red  for $399, also in February 2010. This model takes the more conventional horizontal camcorder format and also offers dual video and still functionality.

Specs for the SH1 come in with Full HD vid capture, a 35mm wide-angle lens, 30x advanced zoom, and 3.5-megapixel stills. We will keep you posted on a UK launch later in the year for both models.
