As well as being known for their rugged snappers, Olympus has also revamped its Mju range with small but powerful modestly priced options.

The Mju 5010 comes in at £199, the Mju 7040 at £240 and the Mju 9010 at a top-end £290. They all shoot HD footage and feature up to 10x optical zoom as well as an 2GB of internal memory - just about enough to make you throw your SD cards away.

Beyond these ultra-slim, colourful creatures, the company has also introduced the FE range of compacts considerably cheaper and more cheerful starting at £150. They're available from today but high-end lovers must hang on 'till March.
