By no means the first Android netbook we've seen - Acer and Dell have had a go in recent months - HP is showing off such a device at CES in Las Vegas, although it's not seen an official release.

Instead it seems the touchscreen netbook is a proof of concept, with execs telling Pocket-lint there are no plans to release it.

Specs for the model are unknown, other than it boasts the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. As far as other rival lightweight OSes, such as Google's Chrome OS, HP again stayed quiet on future plans.
