Kate Moss is to become the new face of Nikon to promote a new digital camera as the firm tries to connect with a younger more fashion conscious audience.

In what seems to be a good week for Kate, the model who last year was dropped by a number of fashion brands including H&M, Burberry and Chanel after a cocaine scandal that involved published photos and an internet video has also signed a deal with Calvin Klein to star in a new ad with Keira Knightley's ex, Jamie Dornan.

Nikon said that it will begin a major ad campaign for its new Coolpix S6 digital camera using supermodel Kate Moss.

Moss will appear in print, TV and cinema ads and on the web at stunningnikon.com to promote the point-and-shoot camera.

The new model, the Nikon CoolPix P6 comes in a slim, 0.8-inch-thick brushed-metal body and features technical goodies such as Wi-Fi and the ability to make slide shows with music in the camera.
