Samsung launches 700Z OLED picture frame

CES 2010: With 0.01ms response time

Among Samsung's other major announcements at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Korean tech giant also found time to put word out of an OLED digital photo frame that's arriving soon.

The 7-inch 700Z has been rather over-engineered for its role as a photo frame - it has a 1024 x 768 resolution, a 180 degree viewing angle and a ridiculous 0.01ms response time. As a result, Samsung suggests you might even want to use it as a small secondary monitor for your PC.

It has Bluetooth connectivity, so you can beam photos and movies from your phone or laptop straight to the device, and it can share pictures across multiple 700Z frames too, if you decide you need more than one in your life.

There's no pricing or availability info yet for the device, but as soon as we hear anything, we'll let you know.
