Admittedly hard drives aren't exactly "cool", but they have a purpose, perhaps best described as the unsung heroes of the gadget family - making sure all that precious data is kept safe and sound.

In view of this, if you haven't already, you might be thinking of investing in a bit of extra external memory - which is where today's tech deal might come in handy.

Savoo.co.uk has a voucher code available which will enable you to get a decent 10% discount on hard drives at Comet. The selection seems to be a good one, but if you want to take advantage of the offer you'll have to be quick as it finishes on the 8 January.
