The BBC has announced that it's launching a new app for the iPhone and iPod which caters for all you foodies.
Called the BBC Good Food Healthy Recipes App and available from the Apple App store now, it aims to help users of the Apple devices stick to any New Year's healthy eating resolutions. Stuffed with 120 selected recipes, meal ideas include healthy twists on classics such as chocolate brownies and chicken korma as well as dishes under 200 calories.
The BBC claims that every meal has been tested not just once, not twice, but thrice by their expert cookery team, which will hopefully ensure you won't be panning the recipes.
BBC Worldwide’s digital publisher, Alex White commented, "We could all do with a bit of help when trying to stick to resolutions, especially when it comes to food. Thankfully, the brand new Good Food Healthy Recipes App is the perfect companion to help you stick to those resolutions as you’ll always have healthy recipes to hand – even when you’re at the supermarket doing the week’s shopping".
Instructional videos are included in the app to help with basic cooking skills, meaning even if you're devoid of all talent in the kitchen you should be able to rustle something up, whilst it also has a handy search-by-ingredients feature, hopefully making it easier to decide what to cook - based presumably on what you have in your cupboard.
The Good Food Healthy Recipes App is available for £2.39 from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
