Sony has announced the European launch of its slimmest ever Walkman - coming in at 7.2mm thick it's been revealed the A845 will be on shop shelves from February 2010, following its Far East launch as the A840.
Weighing in at 62 grams, the player offers a 2.8-inch OLED screen for movie viewing on the go and can connect to a TV, with an optional cable to watch films on a big screen delivered to the set in 720 x 480 at 30fps, but offers just 16GB of storage as compared to the up to 64GB of the Japanese version.
As far as audio goes, there's Sony's S-Master Digital Amplifier tech, Clear Audio tech and DSEE Sound Enhancement tech too, while the supplied headphones boast Digital Noise Cancelling.
Music, video and photos can be transferred to the A845 via drag and drop with a wide range of files supported, or via iTunes 9.0 using the supplied software. Battery life comes in at a decent 29 hours audio playback from one charge while video playback is said to be 9 hours.
The Walkman NWZ-A845 Video MP3 Player (to give it its full title) is due to be available from February 2010, no pricing has been revealed.
