Facebook squeezes out Web 2.0 Suicide Machine

World's largest social network poops the party once more

Having just hit the 350 million user mark, you might think that Facebook isn't too bothered about people quitting their network, but it seems that every ID counts as news hits of Zuckerberg Inc. putting the stops on the Web 2.0 Suicide Machine that we wrote about last month.

The world's largest social site has put a block on the Suicide server's IP address as well as issuing a warning to a similar service at Seppukoo.com. Facebook sites that:

"Facebook provides the ability for people who no longer want to use the site to either deactivate their account or delete it completely. Web 2.0 Suicide Machine collects login credentials, which is a violation of our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (SRR)".

We're glad to see that the company is so concerned about users' privacy.
