Polyphonic ring tone album - what ever next?

29 April 2004 21:30 GMT / By Stuart Miles

One of the more wacker albums you might buy on the web comes from a German band, Super Smart, who have decided that rather than release its latest album on vinyl or CD it is going to cut out the middle man and release it straight to its fans in the medium of polyphonic ringtones.

Downloadable from their website (http://www.super-smart.de/), the album entitled Panda Babies is, apparently, a sort of disco-pop/electro-punk affair and therefore fits in well with medium of phone ringtones.

The album will cost two euros and be beamed straight to a mobile of your choice after you text in your phones details.
