Ideal illumination for bookworms, the Bedside Booklight new from Firebox not only offers a soft glow perfect to read to, but has a cunning design for a clever purpose.

As you'll see from the images the frosted glass lamp is house-shaped which means you can place your current read on its pitched roof safe in the knowledge your page will be saved.

Emitting a won't-get-too-hot 11 watt glow, the lamp is mains-powered, stands 15.2cm high and is on sale now for £39.95.
