New Cool-er ebook readers have been announced for a CES unveiling as Interead has made the Compact and Connect official while the already confirmed 3G model will also make an appearance and the Classic will be launched in new colours.

Measuring in at 6.7 x 4.6 x 0.41 inches (or 170 x 117 x 10mm) the Compact is angled as an "amazingly affordable and portable" option.

Boasting the smallest footprint of any ereader with a 6-inch E Ink screen, the Compact gets 2GB of onboard memory (expandable by 4GB via SD card) to hold thousands of ebooks.

The Cool-er Connect, hitting the scales at 164 grams, adds the convenience of Wi-Fi and a touchscreen while the 3G model, due to AT&T in the States, adds 3G connectivity.

The Cool-er Compact and Connect will be available in spring 2010, and Cool-er 3G will be available in mid-2010, but we'll bring you more in the meantime from CES.
