Tonight is to see the world's largest mass online hypnosis session as British hypnotist Chris Hughes will use Facebook and Twitter to carry out "Socialtrance".

The Guinness World Records attempt will take place tonight, 4 January 2010, at 8.30pm GMT.

Hughes says the Socialtrance hypnosis session "will contain positive suggestions for change and promises to benefit everyone taking part".

"Those taking part in Socialtrance will find themselves at times having their hands and eyes stuck together and experience relaxation like you never have before", he claims.

The advice for those wishing to take part is equip yourself with a PC or laptop with speakers and sit on a "comfy chair" in a quiet place to best enjoy the "hypnosis webcast".
