The publisher behind the National Geographic magazine is offering National Geographic fans in the US the chance to buy every single issue on a 160GB hard drive for you to peruse at your discretion.

"This definitive collection of every issue of National Geographic magazine, digitally reproduced in stunning high resolution, brings you the world and all that is in it. Use the advanced interface to explore a topic, search for photographs, browse the globe, or wander on your own expedition," reads the blurb on the product page.

The 60GB collection, which is also available on 6 DVDs for those on a budget includes "every article and advertisement, and thousands of photographs from 1888 through 2008."

Users will also be able to "Geobrowse" the reams of data via a visual geographic search tool and users will get 100GB of hard drive space for their own files.

The hard drive will cost $199.99. Those outside of the US will, it seems have to find a friend in the US for delivery.
