It comes but once a year, and anybody working in retail will be thanking their luck stars for that today.

It’s still the one day of the year when no shops are open, and all those staff have had to put up with the rest of us, panic buying and bombarding them with stupid questions, for weeks on end. And they’ve smiled, kept their heads and carried on – in many cases for nothing more than the minimum wage.

So we salute you. And in an attempt to deter the masses from beating down your door tomorrow as your ‘January’ sale starts, here’s a site which lists the best reductions at big names’ online sites.

So if you really have to go shopping tomorrow, think of the poor staff and do it from home.
