MSI has announced the release of its new MSI Wind U130 and U135 netbooks, describing them as "curvaceous". Due to offer Intel's new Pine Trail platform, the two netbooks are apparently the first to get WiMAX Forum certification.

Running Windows 7 and offering the Intel Atom N450 processor and next-generation single-chipset architecture, MSI claims the result is power consumption of 5.5 watts, which is said to increase battery life by 15% and overall performance by 10%.

Both netbooks feature a 10-inch LED backlit display with 1024 x 600 screen resolution, 802.11b/g/n WLAN, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, V2.0 EDR Bluetooth, stereo speakers and microphones as well as the 3.5G WiMAX tech.

Due to be available in a range of colours, the MSI Wind U130 and U135 netbooks will be available from January priced at £229 and £279 respectively.
