Philips is offering a new DECT phone for stylish homes with the launch of the ID965.

Offering a "uniquely tapered", ergonomic design convenience, the handset comes with a mount-slash-charger, and a base station.

Boasting a "high gloss" design, the phone offers an "easy to grip real leather covering and chrome metal in-lays".

Features include an in-built digital 50-minute answering machine and a light which indicates a call or message has been received.

There's also Philips' XHD sound technology, with the claim of clear conversations and a built-in speakerphone.

The ID9651B single handset version is available now for an approximate selling price of £149.
