LaCie Rikiki launches

15 December 2009 17:31 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

LaCie has introduced what it says is the most compact 2.5-inch hard drive on the market – the new LaCie "rikiki".

Encased in "brushed, sturdy aluminium", the rikiki (which apparently means "tiny" in French) measures in at 109.7 x 75 x 13.4 mm, but can hold up to 640GB of media.

Compatible with PCs or Macs, the rikiki offers plug and play USB usage and comes with back-up software bundled on in.

The LaCie rikiki will be available in 250GB, 500GB, and 640GB capacities through the LaCie on store, as well as other retailers, starting from £69.

The monkey, we are told, isn't included.
