Toned-down Playboy app launches for iPhone

Nudity-free titillation for a price

Men's mag Playboy has launched a new iPhone app available now to download on the iTunes App Store for £1.19, or $1.99 in the States.

There's a twist though, as although the app is rated 17-plus it contains no "fully nude content", giving those that say they buy the mag for the articles the chance to prove it.

However, that said, the app's feature list looks pretty lite, with features including a joke section, "Hangin' with Hef" which offers snaps of the old boy posing with celebs and a fashion section showing the "hottest looks".

Some content from the print mag - the Playboy Interview, for example - will make it over to the app, but it primarily appears to be a vehicle to promote the mag, for which you'll need to fork out for the privilege.
