JVC launch GR-D650 Baby friendly camcorder

With most parents keen to tell anyone that is listening "don't they grow up fast" JVC is hoping to help you capture that moment and cash in with the launch a new camcorder geared towards parents.

According to reports on the company's Japanese website the GR-D650 BabyMovie miniDV camcorder features a 1.33 megapixel CCD, 16:9 aspect recording, a 2.5-inch LCD, and F1.2 lens with a whopping 18x optical zoom.

The parent bit is found in a built-in LED light, extra image stabilising and that large zoom so you can catch your nipper from far away as they make a dash for it.

The camera will come in three colours - silver, blue and of course pink to match in with that lovely looking baby rug your mother-in-law has knitted you.

Although expected to be available in May, JVC has yet to set a UK launch date or price.
