Is Asus planning an Eee Pad?

Sources claim tablet PC approaching

10 December 2009 16:53 GMT / By Duncan Geere

Looks like it's not just Apple and Dell who get tablet rumours. DigiTimes is quoting a bunch of unspecific "industry sources" who claim that ASUS is going to be putting together its own tablet computer.

The reports are a little vague - it'll be called the Eee Pad and will measure somewhere between 4-inches and 7-inches across. It'll have a combination of tablet PC and MID functions, and apparently has been inspired by the rumours swirling around Apple's mythical tablet.

We don't have any more than that to go on yet, but as CES approaches, it's likely that things will become clearer. Keep an eye on the site, and we'll update you the very moment there's news to be had.
