Americans are getting yet another ebook reader with the news that a new Cool-er ebook reader from Interead has been announced that brings 3G connectivity to the range.

The Cool-er 3G ereader will get a debut exclusively on the AT&T network in the States and is due to be available around mid-2010 from QVC, as well as direct from the operator.

There's no news on specs just yet - other than it will be "compact and elegant" but Interead promises Wi-Fi and 3G models - plural - to launch next year.

There are no current plans revealed for a UK launch for the new model. The current Cool-er was announced in May, is on sale in the UK and comes in eight colours.

It offers a 500MHz processor, 128MB of RAM, 800 x 600 resolution, 6-inch E-Ink screen, 1GB storage expandable by SD card, battery life for 8000 page turns, support for JPEG, PDF, ePub and TXT formats and weighs in at just under 180 grams.
