It was all but confirmed - and now is - Google has launched a version of its own-brand Chrome browser for Apple Mac users. The beta version is available to download now, with just Linux-lovers left out.

The Mac version is said to offer slightly different features from the current release for Windows-based PCs which has been out since September 2008.

Google says Chrome for Mac loads websites quickly, offers a speedy start-up process and offers the ability to search the Internet directly from the address bar.

The Chrome for Mac beta browser is available to download now, do let us know in the comments box below how you get on with it.
