As a general principle, sequels are a bad idea. Speed 2: Cruise Control is a good example. What was Willem Dafoe thinking? And I can’t even bring myself to ponder what happened to The Matrix series.
There are, of course, some notable exceptions: Aliens; Dark Knight and the Bourne films to name but a few.
