Images of a keyboardless Motorola Droid have turned up on a Chinese Android forum, suggesting Motorola has built a version of the new Android 2.0 touting handset for those that wanting a more "iPhone" experience.

Although details are thin on the ground, the new handset is expected to offer a similar set of features to the European Motorola Droid, called the Motorola Milestone but come without the slide-out keyboard.

Other information gleamed from the pictures shows a 5 megapixel camera with Xenon Flash on the back and a large touch screen display similar in size to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10's 4-inch display.

The pictures also show the phone running the yet unannounced Android 2.1.

It is not sure what features will be new in version 2.1, however although Google has yet to officially announce its existence, A Verizon spokeswomen has said that the Droid Eris will be getting Android 2.0 or 2.1 in the new year.

We will keep you posted.
