Alicia Keys' new album to debut on Spotify

"The Element of Freedom" streaming a week early

Spotify has announced Alicia Keys' new album is to debut early on the online streaming service.
 
Keys' fourth studio album, "The Element of Freedom", will be exclusively on Spotify from 7 December - a week before its official UK release on 14 December.

Spotify users across Europe will be able to stream the album in its entirety as of 12pm on the Monday.

The exclusive will come too early for those hoping to get a new Spotify Premium gift subscription for Christmas, although as this follows the recent Robbie Williams exclusive, there will no doubt be more in 2010.
