IKEA has announced the launch of its first iPhone app, available to download for free now in the UK.

The app is boringly basic ("a clean and straightforward application that allows users to view the 2010 UK catalogue page by page") with the plan from the Swedish furniture co to crowd source ideas for improvement.

Anyone with an inkling about what IKEA could offer in the app is urged to tweet their ideas (#ikeaappideas) email them (ikeaappideas@cakegroup.com) or call the hotline (0207 307 3132).
