A couple has raised eyebrows by being perhaps the first in the world to update their relationship status on Facebook from the altar of the church where they were being married.

The groom, Dana Hanna, whipped out his mobile phone after the "I Do"s were complete and passed the phone belonging to the bride, Tracy Page, to her. Both then tweeted the event, too, with groom saying: 'Standing at the altar with @TracyPage where just a second ago, she became my wife! Gotta go, time to kiss my bride. #weddingday'.

Hanna says, on the YouTube video page, "I surprised not only my guests, but also Tracy by pulling out my phone and posting on Facebook and Twitter from the altar during our wedding. This was just done to be funny - we really don't Facebook THAT often :)".
